The maize stubble appearance was greatly improved by the chopped straw mod as this at least gave the look of the debris left after harvest, this particular set of textures seeks to add a little to that general effect.
In essence (if you follow the instructions properly) if will extend the length of the remaining stem, more thoroughly cover the field with debris and the ripe plants colour will been subtly altered to match the look of the ripe maize that is used for the recently released multi fruit header set, which has some green remaining in the leaves at harvest rather than the completely dried out look of the default ripe crop.
